Resolution Accredited Divorce Specialist Chartered Financial Planner
Tamsin Caine is a Chartered Financial Planner and Resolution Accredited Divorce Specialist. She divorced herself in 2017. That, along with her experience of her parents’ divorce as a teenager, set her on a path to help those going through separation, divorce or civil partnership dissolution. In 2018, she founded Smart Divorce with an aim to help more people split up amicably and come to settlements without the need for court. She helps both couples (as a financial neutral) and individuals to negotiate sorting out their finances through various stages of the divorce process, supporting them and holding their metaphorical hand. Whilst she is based in South Manchester, she works with clients across England and Wales.
Outside work, Tamsin is mum to Charlie and Zoe. She is a huge rugby union fan, supporting Sale Sharks and Sale FC, where she has volunteered for the past 11 years. She also loves baking, reading and is working on her photography skills, particularly during one of her regular hikes in her beloved Peak District.
I help individuals and couples like you to:
- Understand you finances and financial position
- Understand what you need from the divorce
- Understand what settlement offer means to you in terms of your future lifestyle
- Design and plan the next chapter so that you can live your best life!

Marcia Lister, a pioneer for mediation since commencing legal practice over 20 years ago. Marcia has worked exclusively as an independent mediator since 2004 and founded her own practice Marcia Mediation Limited in 2013.
Whether mediating cases involving high conflict child disputes or any kind of financial and property disputes, Marcia’s approach is to promote a forward- looking approach to resolution by focussing on what can be agreed rather than what cannot. Building from there, Marcia is known for her proactive approach to the process which has allowed her to broaden her remit to cases involving the wider family, including grandparents and even to disputes involving wills and probate where similar principles work well.
Marcia’s clients are encouraged to avoid the cost, stress and uncertainty of the court procedure and empowered to craft an agreement which whilst it cannot give them both what they want, will give them both what the need to move forward without recrimination, with dignity and readier to face the challenges of the new start ahead.
Marcia is married with two grown up sons. When not working, she loves nothing more than long country walks with her cocker spaniel Murphy.
